On November 27, 2014, the Yonsei Global MBA (GMBA) held its 15th Anniversary Alumni Event in the Alumni Association Hall. Yonsei GMBA, founded in 1998, was the first full-time English MBA program offered in Korea. It is also renowned as the first and one and only program to be listed for four consecutive years in The Economist¡¯s ¡°Top Full Time MBA Programs 2014¡± On this day, the presence of Professor Ku-Hyun Jung, former head of the Graduate School of Business at the time of the GMBA¡¯s establishment, Professor Dae Ryun Chang of Marketing, and Professor Soonkyoo Choe of International Business ware noted.

In his opening remarks, YSB Dean Young-Ryeol Park said the past of the Yonsei School of Business is the basis for its future and thanked the students for their contributions. A graduate of GMBA, Mr. Lee Hee-sung (CEO of Intel Korea), in his speech to the group proposed ¡°Connect,¡± ¡°Share,¡± and ¡°Social¡± as keywords necessary for a changing world. As if responding to these words, the participants began small talk and became familiar with  one another. Yoon Hwan Jung (GMBA alumnus, entering class of 2001) said that he chose Yonsei GMBA for this diversity, and he earned lots of insight from talking to people with diverse backgrounds. The graduates were already connected through Yonsei GMBA, and once again remembered it as a valuable community in sharing knowledge.

Later, the GMBA students and graduates from various nationalities put their arms around each others shoulders to make a long line and enthusiastically sang ¡°Yonsei I love you,¡± a rare scene that can only be seen in Yonsei GMBA. Ryan Rulow (GMBA alumnus, entering class of 2011), who sang most enthusiastically, stated that people from various nationalities communicating with each other in itself was the ¡°Symbol of Yonsei GMBA.¡±
After the event, Dean Young-Ryeol Park shook hands with every graduate while promising to meet again in 2015 upon completion of the new business building. He said that if the last 15 years were a process of realizing the first Yonsei GMBA, the next 15 years will be 15 years of aiming for the best.
