Graduate School of Business

As of the fall semester of 2019, Professors Boram Do of Management, Youngsok Bang of Information Systems, and Sue Ryung Chang of Marketing have joined the YSB faculty, making a total of 70 full-time professors at YSB. All three have completed their doctoral degrees and have served as professors at overseas universities.

Professor Boram Do received her bachelor's degree in civil and environmental engineering from KAIST and her doctorate in management and organization from Boston College in the U.S. She was later an assistant professor at the University of Windsor in Canada and then at Wayne State University in the U.S.

After finishing his bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in management engineering at KAIST, Professor Youngsok Bang worked as a post-doctoral researcher at McGill University in Canada, where he also received his doctorate in management information systems at the recommendation of his professor at the time. He later served as an assistant professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong School of Business.

Professor Sue Ryung Chang received her bachelor's degree from Yonsei University and worked as a brand manager for Unilever's marketing team. She then returned to academia because of her interests in marketing and business studies. After receiving her master's degree in statistics from Harvard University and her doctorate in business administration from New York University, she served as an assistant professor at the University of Georgia.

Professor Youngsok Bang's primary area of study is information economics, focusing on the utilization of the business value of traffic information in urban areas. Professor Sue Ryung Chang's studies focus on big data analytics, marketing strategy models, and models of consumers’ and firms’ behavior. Professor Boram Do's main area of research is "positive organizational scholarship" that focuses on how various positive experiences of employees function in their overcoming difficult situations such as organizational change and organizational restructuring. "I jointed YSB because I wanted to study positive organizational behaviors in Korea with outstanding Korean students," Professor Do added.
