Job Description:    

1. Product Management (40%)  

● Collaborate with the stakeholder teams as a chemical  technical resource during product creation in identifying and facilitating proactive solutions for  

o   Performance (Proven & Tested)  

o   Profitability/Manage to target FOB  

o   Manufacturability  

o   Sustainability/Considered  

o   FPI (Footwear Product Integrity/Quality) issues  

● Actively monitor and support individual products in the commercialization process and facilitate, review and confirm commercialization trials as appropriate (chemical related)  

● Review product creation and commercialization documents and monitor data integrity (chemical related)  

● Facilitate creation and review of the Bonding Process Flow Chart (BPFC)/PFC (Process Flow Chart) and confirm as required  

● Attend trials based"MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto">    

2. Product and Process Excellence (25%)  

● Understand and actively monitor/utilize category best practices and chemical  standards  

● Support local and global chemical engineering initiatives and strategic goals  

● Coordinate and execute new  chemical process introduction, trials and validation to support project goals and timelines  

● Communicate and consult with the factory teams"MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto"> ● Provide feedback to the Country Chemical Engineering Director"MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto">    

3. Communication/Coaching & Mentoring (25%)  

● Assist in training of product and process stakeholders"MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto"> ● Assist in the introduction, validation and training of factory teams"MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto"> ● Monitor PCC team communication and provide input and coaching  

● Communicate directly with CEL and other NIKE/Factory engineering resources to support functional collaboration"MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto"> ● Facilitate open communication with Category team  

● Provide functional mentoring to PCC engineering resources to support NIKE perspective and functional excellence  

● Collaborate with NIKE and PCC/factory teams"MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto">    

4. Innovation (10%)  

● Support project specific functional collaboration with Innovation to facilitate delivery of new technology to inline product  

- Job Requirements:  

● Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, polymer science or other chemical related discipline 

● 2+ years working experience highly preferred, 4 years directly related work experience may be considered in lieu of the degree  

●  Experience in apparel/textile/footwear a plus  

● A proven record of success working with external resources such as universities, testing labs, and material suppliers in USA, Europe and Asia  

● Ability to design and conduct research and development experiment  

● Ability to be part of complex initiatives and project teams  

● Fluent in written and verbal English communication skills  

● Influencing skills  

● Must be self-driven, motivated and able to work independently  

● Proven skills as a creative problem solver and innovator
