Job Description:

J.P. Morgan's salesforce help corporate and institutional clients navigate the breadth of J.P. Morgan's product offerings across Markets and Platform Services, focusing on matching the firm's resources to our clients' needs. They build relationships with clients and package tailor-made solutions that meet the needs of a wide array of clients. To make this excellence possible, salespeople have a wide knowledge of multiple products, and proactively engage with clients and suggest trade ideas.

  • Sits within the front office and works in a dynamic and busy trading floor environment
  • Helps initiate and maintain relationships with clients by providing market updates, executing client orders, booking deals and providing after-sales services to FI clients
  • Works with the trading, structuring and other sales team to provide comprehensive client coverage, including fulfilling client requests for hedging and investment solutions for a wide range of products mainly Cash Bond, FX, Rates, Fixed Income, Investment/Structured products
  • Responsible for preparing presentation materials, internal deal processes as well as applicable regulatory policies, and following up with daily transactions

Qualifications:

  • Entrepreneurial drive with strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Knowledge or experience working within an investment bank and especially in FI sales would be a plus
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to work cooperatively with all LOBs
  • Demonstrable proficiency with market and products especially FX and Rates products
  • Demonstrates creativity in solving problems and commitment to finding new ways of doing things
  • Understands the different types of risk and can discuss in detail ways of managing such risks
  • Thoroughly understands drivers of relevant markets and can explain and anticipate market movements
  • Understands transaction cycle and the steps in the process and is execution oriented
  • Ability to thrive on the challenge of competitive pressures and remain focused on client needs
  • Ability to communicate concepts and ideas, both verbally and via documentation, and be able to defend their validity and target messages to different audiences
  • Ability to interact comfortably with business clients and management
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently as well as work together as a team
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Some working experience within financial industry is preferred
