Policy Specialist, Google Play and Android (Korean, English)

Location: Seoul, South Korea

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 5 years of experience in Policy, Operations, Legal, Program or Product Management
• Ability to speak and write in Korean and English fluently

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with the mobile ecosystem or the online ads ecosystem in the APAC region, including Korea
• Ability to communicate in a clear and compelling manner to multiple stakeholder groups
• Deep interest in technology/internet and related policy issues
• Excellent presentation skills

As a critical part of the Trust and Safety organization, the Google Play and Android Policy team’s mission is to promote a positive experience for users and developers. You will help work toward this vision by developing and implementing fair and consistent policies and by protecting the online safety of our users.

We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A diverse team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages.

Responsibilities

• Develop content and behavioral policies, support training and escalations after product launches, and build expertise in areas like inappropriate content, privacy, and security.
• Collaborate with a wide-range of stakeholders to gain consensus on important, cross-functional policy issues.
• Lead and drive high-impact, global, cross-functional initiatives, including developing and launching new policies and serving as the policy expert for the cross-functional teams (e.g. Product, Operations, Engineering, Developer Relations, Business Development, Public Relations, and Legal).
