Our Business
Global Capital Markets originates a wide variety of primary market equity and debt capital offerings. When an issuer client decides to raise capital in the public or private markets, corporate and investment bankers turn to the Global Markets team. Global Capital Markets partners with the coverage team and advises clients on optimal methods to access capital, whether for acquisition, refinancing or strengthening their balance sheets. The offerings can comprise equities, equity linked, bonds, private placement or a combination of securities
The Global Capital Markets team generates financing solutions for the firm's client base through the origination, development, structuring and execution of instruments across the equity and debt spectrum
GCM (DCM + ECM) intern is expected to play a supporting role in the origination and execution of work with exposure to debt, equity, and equity-linked transactions; the intern takes on many responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Conduct routine daily tasks
Prepare in-depth analysis of new issue market, general market conditions and institutional investors
Perform comprehensive company and industry research
Prepare client presentations and other pitching materials
Prepare and assist international roadshows
Assist in executing live transactions
Candidate Requirements
Fluency in both Korean and English
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
High degree of professionalism and integrity
High degree of initiative and motivation
Strong organizational skills and attention to details
Quick learner and interest in taking on new responsibilities
Comfortable with change and adjust to changing demands and requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor Degree (relevant degree in Economics, Finance, Management and/or Business Administration preferred)
Prior experience in investment banking and/or management consultancy preferred
The expected start date will be July 2022 and end date will be Jan 2022 (subject to a contract renewal in Oct 2022).
