AKE International is recruiting for the position of Intelligence Analyst - Asia Pacific

We are primarily looking for applicants based in Southeast Asia for this exciting full-time position that will involve leading on political, security and economic risk analyses on the region for AKE’s diverse client base. Applicants should have a demonstrable track record of working within the region; strong knowledge of political, commercial, economic and security issues affecting the region and their wider geopolitical impacts. Applicants should have previous experience in risk consultancy or a relevant professional history, a Masters’ degree with a strong regional focus and fluency in at least one regional language. Experience with the financial services industry or a relevant academic background is preferred but applicants from all backgrounds and fields of study will be considered.

Requirements:

  • Excellent knowledge of political, economic and security issues in the Asia-Pacific region with expertise in militancy in Southeast Asia a plus.
  • A Masters’ degree or higher in a relevant subject (e.g. international relations, international security, political science, area studies).
  • Proficiency in at least one regional language. Good working knowledge of Mandarin and/ or Bahasa, and/or Malay is preferred. Other regional languages are also beneficial.
  • At least two years of relevant experience in intelligence, analysis or related fields.
  • Excellent English language skills and ability to write and present in a clear and concise manner.
  • Able to manage high workloads to tight deadlines times in a discreet and efficient manner.
  • Able to support recruitment cycles and manage researchers and interns.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Updating AKE’s real-time intelligence website Global Intake.
  • Analytical intelligence for a range of public and private sector clients.
  • Political and economic risk consultancy and reports for the insurance industry.
  • Verbal briefings.
  • Leading intelligence and analysis for the Asia-Pacific region.
  • Internal company reports and briefings.
  • Participation in creation and development of new intelligence and projects.
