About the team and the position

 

You will join a highly motivated international group of best-in-class colleagues with exceptional experience in investments in energy and infrastructure assets. The Flagship Fund Investment Team has a direct impact on the long-term success of CIP and works closely with other local and global teams within CIP including the Investment teams, Financial Analysis, and Finance.

 

As a Student Analyst, you will contribute to developing, structuring, and executing CIP’s investments in APAC and across various assets, including offshore wind, onshore wind, and solar PV. You will work closely with a highly experienced investment team in a high-pace dynamic environment on M&A deals and financings. CIP will constantly seek to challenge and inspire you while focusing on your learning and personal development. Top-performing Student Analysts may receive an offer to join us as full-time Associates upon graduation.

 

 

Your responsibilities

 

Key work areas include:

  • Financial modelling, valuation and structuring of investments
  • Market analysis and due diligence of new investment opportunities
  • Visualization and presentation of technical and financial data to stakeholders
  • Working together with industrial partners and advisors
  • The workload will vary depending on the number of projects you are working on, with flexibility expected from both sides. You will be given the opportunity to influence your daily routine and schedule

 

The position is part-time and based in CIP’s Seoul office.

 

Your qualifications

 

CIP is looking for penultimate, final year bachelor and 1st year master students majoring in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or any other relevant field. We look for the following in a candidate:

  • Top academic performance and strong analytical skills
  • Strong work ethic with a ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Team player with excellent written and spoken English skills
  • Thriving with responsibility and displaying attention to detail
  • Interest in project/corporate finance and M&A
  • Curious and creative mindset with an ability to work independently
  • Experience in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Prior internship experience in top-tier investment banking, consulting, or project/corporate finance related field will be preferred, but not required
