Responsibilities

 

 

Field Product Marketing : 

 

Analysis of Customer and Market Signals

  • Leverages market intelligence and customer data under guidance to identify opportunities and define strategies for customer acquisition, adoption, and renewal of a product and/or solution. Begins to understand competitor strengths, weaknesses, and Microsoft’s competitive positioning. Shares insights with manager and team to interpret opportunities and risks.

Product Vision and Strategy

  • Takes direction from product vision and partners with Software Engineering (SWE) to execute product roadmap with manager guidance. Learns and convincingly communicates the vision. With the help of senior teammates and influence partners (e.g., SWE) delivers the right product experience (e.g., new features, roadmaps) in alignment with defined direction. Learns what the product does and the customer product experience.

Value Prop Positioning, Messaging, Bill of Materials (BOM)

  • Maintains or improves, under guidance, first messaging, positioning framework, and authors and contributes to marketing asset creation. Begins developing an understanding of how to build pillars and collect proof points. Learns the basic BOM requirements and potential impacts of each. Assists in building consumer/partner facing demo plans, product scripts, and sales materials.

Go-to-Market

  • Learns how to identify and direct marketing strategies for customer acquisition, adoption, and renewal of a product and/or solution. Helps identify target customers, define and execute the strategy for the end-to-end customer journey, and create user stories and scenarios to convey the big picture. Contributes to Go-to-Market strategies to deliver customer and partner success, resulting in revenue, growth, and share outcomes. Gains an understanding of success criteria and performance metrics, such as Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and tracks performance against success metrics. Understands the revenue growth priorities, business targets, monetization strategies, plans, and metrics to build and contribute to plans. Drives collaboration to land these with Sales and channel teams. Gains the expertise needed to develop an engagement plan to interact with customers via various channels.

 

Sales Enablement

  • Learns and understands the sales motions and what support is needed across product training and sales enablement. Supports the development of sales enablement by working across the teams to build out content and programs. Understands how to work on business deals, creates strategic partnerships, and participates in customer meetings with customers. Understands how to position communications to best resonate with customers.

Product Marketing and Business Performance

  • Learns to collect, analyze, and report on basic performance metrics (e.g., Key Performance (KPIs)) to derive insights. Understands how to leverage customer listening systems (e.g., feedback from the field, in product telemetry, etc.) to address challenges, improve experiences, and remove sales blockers/product inhibitors.

Cross-Functional Orchestration

  • Learns to develop partnerships (e.g., Marketing, Partner, SWE, Design, Services, Sales) to lead and deliver differentiated customer value and company growth. Learns to drive initiatives and programs across teams to improve and meet organizational goals.

Qualifications

 

Requirements:

  • Fresh university graduates  Masters (non-MBA), Bachelor's degree in Marketing
    • For Masters (non-MBA), Bachelor's : Have less than 2 years combined (full-time) professional work experience Candidates who can join us by October 2022
