About the job

The Events and Experiences team brings the magic of Google to life through physical experiences that make our brand tangible, human, and shareable. You will collaborate across teams and departments to create delightful, one-of-a-kind experiences that leave a lasting impression.

As the Startup Events Manager for Google Cloud, you will lead and execute the marketing strategy for Google-owned and third-party Startup and Web3 events in North America. You’ll establish Google Cloud within startup and Web3 communities, and with companies and developers, to drive applications to the Google for Startups Cloud Program, and product adoption of our Cloud solutions.

Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems--from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can--changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic marketing campaigns and programming for Google Cloud’s startup and Web3 events portfolio, and third-party events in North America. Manage marketing programs from non-traditional presence at events to thought leadership events.
  • Execute and manage events and production that convey Google Cloud’s brand and thought leadership to customers, users, and key opinion formers, to drive awareness and product adoption.
  • Present work to multiple teams and executives for feedback and approvals. Work with analysts to develop processes to evaluate event performance and attributes.
  • Cooperate with marketing stakeholders to gain support on projects by including their input in projects.
  • Manage agencies, freelancers, and project teams. Onboard and train new staff.
